I'm Antonio, or Tony, whichever you prefer. I started running in 2020 as a personal challenge: to complete 100 km in a month. What started as a distraction during lockdown quickly became a passion. Over the years, I went from struggling through 10 km to completing multiple marathons, qualifying for both the Boston and Berlin Marathons, and consistently improving my personal best in every major race I entered.
In 2023, I found myself naturally guiding friends with their training, offering advice based on my own experiences. Seeing them gain confidence and hit their goals made me realise how much I loved coaching. That’s when I decided to take it further, earning my Recreational Running Coach certification (Level 2) from Athletics Australia.
Now, I coach runners of all levels, from those training for their first 5K to experienced marathoners chasing new personal bests. I've helped runners who were just starting with their first 5 km runs progress all the way to completing their first marathons. My approach is built on understanding your body, managing effort, and training with purpose. There are no secrets to improvement, just the right guidance, structured training, and consistency.
